Drug Rehab / Rehabilitation for Addiction in New York?
Question by ICARRESS: drug rehab / rehabilitation for addiction in new york?
I need to find a residential facility in new york state. I tried searching the web, but there’s so much ‘spam’ that I can’t tell real facilities from nonsense..
I have NO idea where to start. Please give me specifics – or real organizations that can provide direction.
Thanks.
I don’t care about private/state… but there is amoney consideration. My mother only gets social security…and it’s not much. I don’t have money to spend either.

Question by Rose off Titanic: Did these diet pills have speed (amphetamines) in them?
I recently took some diet pills I brought from a herbal chinese specialist store, I took them for 3 days and they worked but I got extreme anxiety, thoughts on suicide, sickness and my bottom teeth have been aching. I’ve stopped taking them and feel better now but was there speed in them?

No, at least not legally. In The United States amphetamines are federally controlled schedule II drugs indicating they have a legitimate and established medical use but also have a high potential for abuse, addiction, dependence, and diversion. Possession, distribution, buying, selling, or improperly using schedule II drugs is highly illegal.

What Can I Do to Get My Brother Off of Drugs? Rehab? How Does That Work?
Question by toomuchtv23: what can I do to get my brother off of drugs? rehab? how does that work?
Can I make him go to rehab? Are there any free or low cost rehab places in Michigan? Does he need to agree to it before they will admit him? Can I say hes suicidal and they HAVE TO TAKE HIM? I dont want him to go to jail its not gonna help him. He needs rehab/guidence
My 31 year old brother has had a problem with drugs for the past 3 years. Started out with just pills, then lead to crack, cocaine, and more pills ( probably other things too. ). He talks about wanting to die all the time. He’s 2 years older than me. He was doing so good his whole life up UNTIL NOW. I am so scared for him he has a bad heart.. He has 2 beautiful children and a girlfriend of 10 years that HE LOST due to his drug problem. He had a house, car, job and a beautiful family, now hes laid off collecting unemployment and using all his money on drugs. Doesn’t see his family. What can I do as a sister. I try telling him to quit and he says its hard. I think hes gonna die soon and I have to do something now before its too late. WHAT DO I DO???
