POLL: Wrote This Song About My Crush… Is It Great (Yes or No)?

Question by : POLL: Wrote this song about my crush… Is it great (yes or no)?
So I wrote this song about my crush. She’s addicted to marijuana, and I don’t do drugs. Never have, never will. And I hope she will find it in her heart to quit, since me telling her this song might not be good…

Chandler, Change Your Cruel Soul — Donald Simmons

Verse 1
Hey listen honey
We need to talk
All about where’s your money
Don’t sit there and gawk
At me like I’m stupid
Tell me the truth
Since Miss Mary Jane Cupid
Can’t magically appear like a sleuth
And feed your bad seed
That’s called addiction
It’s dangerous, not something you need
It’s worse than an affliction
Because with addiction you get full of greed
And of that phrase “I’ve got to have it”
Baby, weed
Isn’t worth an eviction, pay s*it
Like your bills
Stop ruining your health
Or I should start composing our wills
And stop worrying about our wealth

Verse 2
You told me that you snort
Because of your mom
Don’t make some wisea*s retort
Since that’ll get you a pom pom
Over your head
Six more like that atom bomb
And you might just become red
Like a Boston Red Sox hat
I’m trying to help you
Recover
Since you may not want to
And since I wanna be your lover
–Say the Chorus after this verse–

Verse 3
Do you really
Want my help
Or do you wanna act touchy-feely
With a loud yelp
After you say no
You’ll cause a disaster
To my brain, and I’ll know
Since these words… are a ticking bomb blaster

Chorus
This stupid thing
Will all pass
When you hear me sing
Or perform this… for you my lass
Then the ding of conviction will toll
Will go off
As you change your cruel soul
Unlike David Hasselhoff

Thoughts?

–After verse 3, repeat verse 2;
–After you repeat verse 2, repeat the chorus
–The song ends after the last repeat of the chorus

Drug Addiction – This video is a compilation of Clips from Two Documentaries, music and text (all as seen in ending credits) put together by Max Silverman Boston College class of 2014. Max did this for a freshman writing class at Boston College, for which he was asked to do a “rhetorical remix” of a paper he had previously written on Drug Addiction and Drug Courts. This video serves 2 purposes which are: a) to warn and urge anyone not to consider using hard drugs and b) to show Americans the humanity of drug addicts with the hope that they will confront this disease that ultimately has affected our entire society. About half of the people interviewed and shown using drugs in this movie have died since the footage was originally taken. How many more will we allow to die?
