I have a friend who has agreed to enter rehab for a long battle with alcohol, the only problem is deciding what kind of program to go to. He has tried AA several times and an outpatient facility here in MO with little success. He does not want to go to a AA or 12 step based program. I have found many such as Passages in Malibu, CA, and others as well that offer what’s called a “holistic” approach. Does anyone have any advice and know if these sort of places can work??

ok..my girlfriend has been ina bad mood as we can say it for pas 2 days. it isn’t normal..but she’s constantly doing drugs. worse ones then smoking weed and drinking which i’m ok with. i really miss her..even though she’s there. i miss the girl i fell in love with..not the one on drugs and it hurts..cause she starts being mean and breaks my heart but i still love her more then anything. i just don’t know how to make her stop..i told her..never tell them. she said what? i said never tell our kids..their momi does drugs.i want to marry her..i’m buying a ring to propose to her. what can i do to make her stop without stupid ass rehab or anything and she just promised me right now..that she’ll stop.

I have had horrible side effects from the Depot Lupron shot (3-months doasage), now I am not talking about depot provera, this is a stronger shot to treat endometriosis. It has helped with the pain and lessened the growths, but I have bad hot flashes, weight gain, dryness, the list goes on. Anyone have better experience with it? Can anyone suggest an alternative treatment?? BCPs don’t work, i tried them already.

This is something that has to be done by the indivigual and the family. If the person is forced to, then it isn’t going to work. That person has to realize thier going to lose everything if they don’t go for treatment.
