Is Alcoholism a Disease?
Question by Leah K: Is alcoholism a disease?
Some say it is a disease. It’s the only disease where all you need to do is stop putting a specific substance into your body! My father had a real disease, cancer. Boy I sure wish he could have cured his disease by going to AA meetings and simply not putting a substance into his body.
Hey Alcoholics: SIMPLY DON’T PUT THE STUFF INTO YOUR MOUTH! Don’t claim you have a disease. There are plenty of people out there with REAL diseases. All the people with cancer and AIDS would love to trade diseases.

Best answer:
Answer by BeachBum
A mandatory sentence is a court decision setting where judicial discretion is limited by law. Typically, people convicted of certain crimes must be punished with at least a minimum number of years in prison. Mandatory sentencing laws vary from country to country.
Adherents of mandatory sentencing believe that it reduces crime and ensures uniformity in sentencing. Potential criminals and repeat offenders are expected to avoid crime because they can be certain of their sentence if they are caught.

Call the clinic and ask them, not us. They probably have there own standards they meet and the patients have to meet them. Not all clinics have the same goals or the way they reach them, what is of concern to them. Call them.
