so my friend has been going through addictions to weed for a year or two now. and he recently started using crack and is saying it’s impossible for him to quit and that he needs it to live but he wants, no he needs, help. i just don’t know what i can do to make withdrawal easier on him because he’s gone through it so many times now. i dont want to see him suffer again =[ i’m not too familiar with drugs but i think the only way to effectively quit is to see a doctor, which he doesn’t want to do… sigh
i just feel so worthless because i cant do anything to help
is there anything you know that would make withdrawal easier on him? or end the addiction? or SOMETHING…..i’m so scared for him

Drug addiction treatments cost much because a lot of factors are involved when treating a patient. Medication and payment for counseling and therapy costs much. But studies have shown that a full year of methadone maintenance treatment would cost a lot less than a year of imprisonment. Besides, this is someone’s life that’s on the line. What’s a thousand dollars compared to leading a sober, happy, addiction-free life?

I have had an addiction and an eating disorder so I think I want to live in Boston University’s “wellness house”. I don’t want to be around people that are like, total nerds and are like, “OMG drinking and drugs are so bad!!!” I just want to be around people who have been through the same stuff as me and can understand how hard it is to stay sober. I want a supportive community, you know?

depends on the drug. most addicts that i,ve ben exposed to don,t seem to have a good life unless they,re high. this is for booze, also.

Ok so I was recently treated with a partially collapsed lung, one of the pills they perscribed I am finished, and I don’t hurt any more, but the second pills are just Tylenol 3’s, but i love the feeling when i take 2 or 3 tylonel’s, and i have about 20 pills left, and have been taking 3 at a time without any pain, do they cause any damage? i feel so relaxed…
