I am currently doing a project on drug addiction at college. I would like to know what people think about it. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion but please do not be nasty thanks.

I dont believe its the drug addiction, i believe its the side effects of the drugs such as paranoia and the hallucinations ect that eventually put a strain on the family relationships. a person would get paranoid about his family and eventually it would drive them apart.

I’m not sure if they want treatment because they want to get well or because they have no choice…..

I guess I grew up fairly sheltered because I know close to nothing about drug addiction. I know that drugs are bad and that they almost always destroy your life in one way or another if you don’t stop and get the right help. What I want to know are the signs and ways to tell if someone has done or is high on cocaine. Someone I really care about told me they do it. And that they want to stop. And that they do it cause they like it but almost immediately after doing it they feel horrible – depressed. Said they feel like they have no self-control over it.

I think it’s a special program given to people who are suffering from alcoholism and drug addiction. They provide treatment and services to help the patient recover faster. There’s a website about the Holistic Approach. I added the link below. It’s really informative.

Its not the main campus of UNC (Chapel Hill), but its in Wilmington.
