Is It Too Soon, Again?
Question by EB in CT: Is it too soon, again?
I met my first husband when I was 19. Married when I was 23. After 8 years of marriage, 12 years together, we separated and eventually divorced 08/2001. I met my second husband really soon. He was only the second man I dated after my first husband. After two years of dating, we married. Four years later, we are separated and I have filed for divorce. Each circumstance of divorce for each marriage was nothing I could control. My first marriage ended due to a very traumatic situation that happened in our family. In my second marriage, my husband turned to drugs and is presently in a drug rehab center.
I am now dating again. It is only the second man I have dated after my second husband. My friends and family are telling me it is too soon. That I am making the same mistake I made after my first marriage. I have not given myself a chance to heal or get to know MYSELF. How do I know when the time is right? I don’t feel I NEED a man in my life to complete me. HELP.

There are quite a few actually, it just depends where in South Florida you are exactly, and the type of treatment you are looking for. There’s a full service rehab facility with dual diagnosis treatment called C.A.R.E. Florida. There is a Holistic minded addiction treatment center called Ambrosia Treatment Center. There is an out-patient treatment program called Foundations Boca. There is even a luxury drug rehab center located in a mansion called Estates Delray. And of course for successful transition back into society there are gender specific half way houses called Boca House for Men, and Awakenings for Women.
How Can I Tell My Ten Year Old Daughter That Im a Drug Addict Going Into a Rehab Without Damaging Her?
Question by concerned1: How can i tell my ten year old daughter that im a drug addict going into a rehab without damaging her?
Im a single mom with a ten year old daughter. I am a drug addict soon to be going into a 90 day inpatient treatment center and she will be going with me. She is at an age, that in my opinion ,shes to old not to question this but to young to find out her mommy is a drug addict. It will be very soon that I have to sit her down and explain where we’ll be going and i dont know how to, without it damaging her. And, at the same time I want to be fully prepared for the questions she’ll have.

Probably not… Just turn it off for him for the time being, the battery will end up dying eventually anyway. I’m sure if he needs to call anyone or anyone wishes to call him, there are phones in the rehab center that he can use. Besides, the nurses there probably want him concentrating on getting better, not making/taking tons of phone calls. They probably also worry that he will be communicating with old [drug-using] friends or dealers whom he should not be having contact with while in rehab.
