What is Schizencephaly?
Schizencephaly is an extremely rare developmental birth defect characterized by abnormal slits, or clefts, in the cerebral hemispheres of the brain. Babies with clefts in both hemispheres (called bilateral clefts) commonly have developmental delays, delays in speech and language skills, and problems with brain-spinal cord communication. Individuals with clefts in only one hemisphere (called unilateral clefts) are often paralyzed on one side of the body, but may have average to near-average intelligence. Individuals with schizencephaly may also have an abnormally small head, mental retardation, partial or complete paralysis, or poor muscle tone. Most will experience seizures. Some individuals may have an excessive accumulation of fluid in the brain called hydrocephalus.

Question by Jessie J: Why do I need drug rehab?
I have been a drug user for a year and I haven’t told anyone about it. And if I do decide to get myself into a drug rehab, I would like to do it without anyone having to push me. I would like to learn about drug rehab – what it does, what the treatments are and where I can find one in Florida. Got any ideas?

Answer by Ali
I know where I’m from..PA…to be approved for disability (not ssi) you have to have so much in taxes paid (held a job for so many years) not sure the numbers…because I have a kidney and ovary disease and my doctor put me on temp. disability(well it’s always supposed to be temp. unless it’s a uncurable condition, but everyone abuses the system) but I couldn’t get disabilty because I didn’t qualify…well good luck. it’s a long process.

Child Support in California Under the Table Jobs?

Question by *: child support in California under the table jobs?
In a California child support situation where the mother has custody and the father is to pay child support but works under the table….how does that work? He could claim he is older, sick/hurt, out of work because of the economy, and is not working. In this case I know he is and spends his money drinking, doing meth, and setting up drug deals for extra cash. Is the system so broke that he will get away with not taking care of his responsibilities?
Thanks for the advice…

When People Claim That Government-Run Health Care Will Tell You What Doctors You Can Visit for Free…?

Question by N.A.L.T. Christian: When people claim that government-run health care will tell you what doctors you can visit for free…?
Why don’t they also mention that insurance companies do the same exact thing? My insurance company has a book of doctors I can see that they will cover, if I see other doctors, i have to pay full price.

When they claim that universal health care will be expensive, why not mention that the US pays more per capita for health care than anyone with UHC?
