If I Used Marijuana Will I Still Get the Job?
Question by thewiseone91: If I used marijuana will i still get the job?
I’m currently applying for a Job at the TSA. They use hair, blood, and urine samples to test for drugs. I took one hit off a joint about a week ago the test is coming up anywhere from two weeks to 2 months away. They also use a polygraph test and that asks if I used drugs. I live in massachusetts where marijuana is decriminalized. Will this influence my chances in getting the job?
Billy bob thanks for the novel but I wasn’t referring to the private sector. So your argument is invalid.

Close Friend W/ a Drug & Alcohol Problem! Please Help Me!?
Question by MysteryGrl: Close friend w/ a drug & alcohol problem! Please help me!?
I live in the Boston area and a really close friend of mine has severe anxiety, depression and insomnia. She is seeing a physiatrist for all of her problems and she is on all different types of anti-depression, sleeping pills etc. She was in a minor fender bender like a 8 months ago it was nothing serious but she ended up taking a leave from work…I think she was faking her injury just to get different medications for pain, muscle relaxers etc. She has worked in the medical field and was going to school to be a nurse…so I think she knows exactly what to say to get certain things prescribed to her from doctors and her physiatrist. So she has been out of work for the past 8 months and since the day she was out of work she has been going out drinking just about every night of the week since she has been out of work…drinking on top of all of her pills she is taking. I know what she does every night and I know she has not been looking for a job or going to school…but she tells all of our friends that she is doing good…has been looking for a job and cant find one…and they don’t know she drinks every night…basically nobody knows what she has really been up 2 only me…she tells them one thing and me another…every guy she meets she ends up making them her boyfriend after only a day of knowing them and this is not like her at all she is 27 years old…every single one of the guys is a loser and ends up leaving her after a week. She doesn’t have any $ $ $ and has been sinking into debt…I got together with all of our friends and told them what she is up 2…everyone is really concerned…we are thinking about doing an intervention or something??? Any ideas? Rehab is too much $ $ $ …Any advice would be good…I don’t see how anything would work if she already has her physiatrist fooled into giving her certain drugs which she is abusing…no one knows who her physiatrist is…Her mom knows she drinks everyday but defended her and made excuses like she is not working right now. Blah blah blah…no idea what to do…any ideas?
