Why Does Medicaid Pay for Rehab?

Question by Aqua Turtle: Why does Medicaid pay for rehab?
I’m normally pretty liberal, but this… no. I’m not sure if this is just my state or the whole country, but here Medicaid pays for rehab. My insurance, which I pay for, would NEVER cover rehab!!! So why does taxpayer funded insurance?!
