im doing a term paper on prescription drug abuse but I dont how or the ways they get high if it. do they just take alot?

It depends on the drug. You can’t get high off of certain drugs, like diet pills or birth control.

But pain killers like oxycotin or vicodin always cause you to get high. When people take it for it’s intended use most people don’t call it a high, but technically it is.

Recreational drug users just take the drugs for fun instead of practicality. Sometimes they take more, but not always.
