My father has been a drug user, particularly of methamphetamines, for years now. This addiction is really beginning to erode our relationship.
How do I get involved this problem? I live in Birmingham, Alabama.

She can be PC’d (protected custody) for a certain amount of time, but she would have to commit (section 12) herself. The only way to commit another adult is to go through the time consuming process of proving their incompetance and that they are a danger to themselves and the community through the court of law.

As of yesterday, President Obama stated that state laws involving medical marijuana would be upheld. Massachusetts is now hearing arguments for legalization and California is looking at a serious legalization push in 2010. I’m just curious as to what people’s opinions are out there? Like alcohol prohibition, “trying” to make marijuana illegal has failed miserably and completely in the US! Legal or not, people are using it! The only people benefiting, however, are criminals, artificially raising the prices, and making for an unsafe situation as criminals are empowered and becoming wealthier.
