I am 18 years old, and go to UNH. Over the weekend, I was arrested for unlawful intoxication. I was stumbling out of a convenience store, and was stopped by UNH police, who could blatantly see that I was intoxicated, and was arrested on just that one charge. I will be going to court January 13th, 2010, and am planning on taking advantage of the free legal services offered by UNH, which I am hoping will create some sort of plea deal that will get this charge dropped.

I’m doing a research paper about the different strategies being employed by staff of such programs to treat drug dependents and I badly need some credible sources of information.

I think that the best way for getting information about rehab program’s strategies is to contact the actual rehabs. This is a list of all the rehabilitation centers in Syracuse and their contact information. I am sure if you asked, they would give you lots of information and even send you a brochure or two.

Yeah I know. Stupid for getting involved. Now I can’t get uninvolved. I try, I fail, multiple times. Im losing the will and energy to stop.. It causes problems physically/mentally/emotionally/financially. Never thought I’d be an “addict” Help?? I can’t afford treatment

unfortunately you are going to have to just stop. stop hanging out with friends that do it. try a 12 step group like AA or NA. call the local salvation army, they will have a list of low or no cost drug treatment programs.

My friend was convicted of a DWI for drinking and driving… He lost his license for 7 months and also has to attend a 12 hour Intoxication driving program. 2 days each of 6 hour classes… He asked me if they drug test because he smokes pot alot… I told him I havnt a clue seeing I do not do drugs or am going to the program myself but let him know yahoo answers would help him out 😉 Thanks guys!
