How Can I Find a Psychiatrist in Mineola, NY Area That Does Addiction Treatment?
Question by B333: How can I find a psychiatrist in Mineola, NY area that does addiction treatment?
One of my good friends is currently depressed and she has recently picked up on the habit of using opiates to self-medicate. Her family feels helpless and has requested that I help them out. The thing is that she refuses to go to inpatient drug rehab, partially because she is not willing to give up work and school in order to go do inpatient. Another thing with her is that she is currently taking psychiatric medications, which have been prescribed to her a while ago, but she is no longer under a psychiatrists supervision to monitor the drugs and better treat her depression.

Do Countries With the Death Penalty Have Lower Crime Rates?
Question by Random_asker: Do countries with the death penalty have lower crime rates?
And if that is the case, could you back it up with some statistics, the help is greatly appreciated

Answer by Howard L
There is no better example than Singapore possibly the safest place on Earth. Singapore has 12 times the population of Vancouver but just half the crime rate. But in addition to having a death penalty which they do not hesitate to exercise they also have severe penalties for lesser crimes as well. Also, I believe Singaporean culture based on Chinese society generates fewer criminals to begin with. It becomes difficult to say how much the death penalty itself contributes.
Why Would a Teenagers Drug Test Have Positive Results for Creatine?
Question by babygurl: Why would a teenagers drug test have positive results for creatine?
a friend suspected drug abuse with his teenage son (age 15), when tested yesterday (after almost fainting at school with chest pains and other symtoms), the doctor told my friend the only positive result was for creatine. the teenager is not a body builder nor would he have any reason to take creatine, nor does his father know how he got a hold of it. i suspect that this teenager is abusing a legal drug and is using the creatine to enhance it’s effects. any ideas? am i on the right track?
Need Help in Business Law?
Question by SKA=<3: Need help in business law?
Can anyone answer this question? I need to know why and from where the answer came from.
Mcl aughlin injured his back while working as a lumberjack. He became
addicted to pain killers during treatment for the injury. He was then treated for
the addiction three times, but never stopped using the drug. When he moved to
Indiana, he sought treatment for his back injury and obtained a prescription for the
pain killer. He filled the prescription much faster than prescribed. In one 60-day
period he received 24 refills, filled 12 times, meaning that McLaughlin or his wife
was at the pharmacy every two to three days. When his doctor discovered the
misuse, he refused to prescribe more. McLaughlin became depressed as a result
of withdrawal and attempted suicide. He sued the pharmacy, claiming it had a
duty to stop filling the prescription because the pharmacist knew or should have
known that McLaughlin was consuming the drug so quickly that it was a threat to
his health. Is he correct?
Is There a Support Group for Families Who Have a Member Addicted to World of Warcraft?
Question by Susanne W: Is there a support group for families who have a member addicted to World of Warcraft?
My daughter (20) has an addiction to the online game called, “World of Warcraft”. She rarely leaves her room, has no friends, no motivation to go to school or work, and is depressed. I realize that the game is not the core problem, but I am unable to think of a solution to get her to live any kind of life. Is there a support group anyone can recommend that I contact. I need to talk to others and see what they have done to help with this problem.
