By statistics marriages in developed countries (Western countries) are more likely or prone to breakups than those from developing countries.Does the individualistic culture of Western countries contribute to these marriage breakups?

Yes. Not only that, but “Generation Zero”, a.k.a. the Hippies and Post-War Generation that decided that individual happiness and rebellion, sexual freedom, and a TOTAL AND UTTER LACK OF APPROPRIATE BOUNDARIES when raising their children has led us down a path where the generation after the hippies were emotionally damaged, mentally damaged, and unable to form proper relationships with THEIR partners due to their lack of coping mechanisms, stability, and boundaries.

We want our first project to be an information campaign about drug interventions and substance treatment programs. Currently, we’re looking for a rehabilitation center which can provide us with some of the info that we need.

My son has been hooked to drugs since his college years. After high school, he decided to move out of the house. He told me he tried drugs only so he can fit in. He never thought he’d get hooked. But now that he’s been out of school for two years now and is still hooked to the habit, I am very much worried about him and his future. What should I tell him to give drug rehabilitation a try?

My husband was admitted to a rehab facility 60 miles away from me on Friday after walking to his unioon representative and telling them he had a problem. I had no idea but he had been taking xanax that was prescribed by a doctor since august, was taking them before that by getting them off the streets and has been on prescription pain killers (i knew that) for about a year but he runs out about 2 weeks early and gets them off the street. He has had an emtional relationship with another woman for the last 2 months through text messaging… all kinds of stuff is coming out now that he is there. I am going to an al-anon meeting locally on thursday but am having a really hard time finding support for people with family members who are abusing narcotic prescription drugs. Does anyone know of any online resources?? I live in Indiana…

So long story short, I was with my boyfriend for over a year. His behaviors were very odd – disappearing acts, always broke, never there for me, and always borrowing money from me. He came clean about a cocaine addiction a month ago. he told me he spends $ 2000 a week on cocaine. He enrolled himself in a halfway house. (Has not started yet). Anyways 2 weeks ago, I got so fed up with his habits. He came to me asking for money to eat. At first I said no because he already owes me $ 2000, then finally I gave in and gave him $ 20 to eat and said he could pay me back the next day. I went to get my money the next day and he said he didn’t have it. I got sooo fed up with his habits that that night I blew up and left 10 nasty messages on his phone. I also told him I need to start seeing some of this money that he keeps “promising” to pay back. After that night, I never heard from him again..I know this breakup is the right thing….but I guess my question is, do you think he was only with me for money/ to enable his habit and they second I stopped giving in to helping him is why he stopped talking to me?
